The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) has announced that the recruitment of non-academic and academic staff to fill available positions is ongoing. Candidates are invited to visit the FUTA recruitment portal at recruitment@futa.edu.ng and apply for any of the positions listed.
This recruitment is free of charge. Candidates are advised not to engage the services of individuals who are posing as officials that can secure them jobs at FUTA for a fee. They are further advised to report such individuals to the appropriate authorities.

Requirements For FUTA Recruitment 2024
All candidates are expected to meet all the requirements listed below:-
- Candidates must have O’level certificates with a minimum of five (5) credits including English and Mathematics.
- Candidates should not be over the age of 40 years at the time of application.
- Candidates must have a B.Sc, HND, NCE, or OND in a discipline relevant to the position they applied for.
- Candidates who are applying for academic staff roles must have a Master’s degree and a Ph.D in a discipline relevant to the position they are applying for.
- Candidates for senior lecturer, professor, and associate professor roles must have publications in international and local journals.
- Candidates for teaching roles at FUTA nust have at least five years of teaching experience.
- Candidates must show evidence that they have completed the mandatory one-year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program.
- Candidates who have professional qualifications and/or certifications will have an edge.
- Candidates must be proficient in written and oral English
- Candidates must have strong communication skills.
- Candidates must be certified physically and mentally fit.
- Candidates who are interested must be of good behavior and composure
- Candidates must possess a valid means of identification such as a valid driver license, National Identification Card, International passport, Voters card, or NIN number

How To Apply For FUTA Recruitment 2024
This application procedure is in two stages, after applying online, you will need to send copies of your credentials to the recruiting officials. For the online stage, these are the steps you need to follow:-
- Visit the official FUTA website recruitment@futa.edu.ng
- Go through the list of positions available and choose the one you are most qualified for.
- Read the instructions and requirements and ensure you meet them.
- Create your account on the portal.
- Log in to your account.
- Complete the application form with your correct information.
- Upload all the required credentials.
- Review you application and ensure that the details you provided is correct.
- Submit your application.
- Print your acknowledgment letter and await a notification from FUTA saying you have been shortlisted.
Candidates must send 20 copies of their certificates, relevant credentials, and CVs to FUTA. The CV must follow this exact format:-
- Full name (Surname first in capital letters)
- Date and Place of Birth
- Nationality
- State of Origin
- Permanent and Current Postal Address
- Marital Status
- Number and Age of Children
- Educational Institutions Attended with Dates
- Academic and Professional Qualifications Obtained with Dates
- Work Experience, including detailed information on former and present posts with dates
- List of Publications (if any)
- Extra-Curricular Activities
- Names and addresses of three (3) referees.
