Requirements for The Available Positions At Pheonix University
These are the requirements for each of the positions advertised by Phoenix University.
University Bursar
- Candidates must have a good honors degree in Accounting from a recognized institution.
- Candidates must have reached the rank of Deputy Bursar or an equivalent position in a university.
- They must be computer literate and familiar with relevant accounting software.
- They must have at least fifteen (15) years of relevant experience, with ten years of continuous service in the university system.
- Candidates must be members of a professional body such as ANAN or ICAN.
- Having a higher degree is an added advantage.
Professor
- Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline with at least ten (10) years of full-time teaching and research experience at a university, including at least two (2) years as an Associate Professor.
- Candidates must also have significant administrative experience.
- Candidates must have twenty-eight (28) scholarly publications in both local and international journals to demonstrate specialization in key areas of their department’s field of study, along with membership in a relevant professional body.
Associate Professor

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline and at least eight years of teaching and research experience at a university.
- They should have twenty-one (21) scholarly publications and at least two (2) years of experience as a Senior Lecturer.
- Additionally, candidates must have substantial administrative experience.
Senior Lecturer
- Candidates should possess a Ph.D. Degree in the appropriate discipline applied for, with five years of teaching and research experience in a university
- Ten (10) scholarly publications with two years as a Lecturer I.
- Candidate must also have sufficient administrative experience.
Lecturer I

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in the relevant field from a recognized institution.

They should have at least three (3) years of teaching experience and a minimum of three (3) published journal articles.
Lecturer II
- Candidates must hold a Ph.D. degree with no required publications or waiting period, or an M.Sc. degree with one (1) journal publication or two referred conference proceedings.
Assistant Lecturer
- Candidates should hold a Master’s degree with at least two (2) years of teaching and research experience at a university and must be enrolled in a Ph.D. program.
